DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Adult: 2-4 sachets/time, 3-4 times/day.

Kids above 1 year-old: ½ sachet/10 kg body weight/time, 3-4 times/day.

Drug should be taken 15-30 minutes before meals.
CONTRAINDICATION:
-
Sensitive to any ingredients of the drug.
-
Vomiting after surgery.
-
Gastrointestinal hemorrhage, intestinal obstruction or perforation, prolactin pituitary tumor.

Kid under 1 year old.
CAUTION:
-
Do not use longer than 12 weeks in Parkinson’s patients.

Dosage for renal impairment patients must be 30-50% lower than the normal dose.

Caution in use for patients with liver impairment, pregnant and lactating women.
DRUG INTERACTION:
-
Anti-cholinergic medicine can inhibit the effect of domperidone.
-
CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole, erythromycin or ritonavir increase the concentration of domperidone in the blood.

Anti-acid or acid-secretion inhibitor medicines reduce the bioavailability of domperidone. These medicines should be used after meals/not used together with domperidone.

Domperidone can reduce the absorption of drugs except for paracetamol and digoxin.
ADVERSE DRUG REACTION:

Rare adverse drug reactions include: milk bleeding, menstrual disorder, menstrual missing, big breasts in men, dry mouth, transient abdominal cramps.

Extrapyramidal symptoms are very rare in children and do not happen in adults.

Inform your doctor about adverse drug reactions when using this drug.
